How do I use a gift card?

Virtual and Physical Gift Cards are currently redeemed a little differently:

E-Gift Cards, that you received via email, can be redeemed for Online Orders by entering the long # that begins with an ‘8’ at Check Out. Don’t forget to hit “Apply” after you enter your card #.

For actual plastic Gift Cards, we can swipe these easily at the shop, but for Online Orders please check if you have a long number that begins with an ‘8’ on the bottom of the back of the card [should have “Online” written next to it]. If you do, please enter that number for online orders [hit “Apply” after]. If not, please email us or follow the steps [we know this is annoying, sorry]:

  1. On the back of the card, find the 13 digit number that starts with ‘31’

  2. Click this link or enter the URL into a new browser tab URL: https://www.toasttab.com/goldilox-bagels/findcard

  3. On the back of the card, find the 13 digit number that starts with ‘31’

  4. Enter that long 31 number into the box and click submit,

  5. This displays a new long number that begins with an ‘8’

  6. When you check out, enter the long number that begins with the ‘8’

  7. Hit ‘Apply’ [don’t forget this step] and then check out

Where do I buy a gift card?

Plastic gift cards are available to buy on our order page [scroll down]. Virtual Gift Cards, that are sent over email, can be purchased here.

How has Goldilox been impacted by Covid-19

Like most businesses, we have been affected by COVID-19. We have shifted to doing pre-orders as well as walk ups when we’re open [if we have bagels]. You can order ahead online all week for pick up on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, or order at the shop when we’re open. No seating in the shop right now [we are using the space for bags of pre-ordered bagels 😄].

Can I buy Goldilox merchandise?

Yes! We also sell virtual gift cards, shirts, and hoodies on our order page! Scroll down to find the Merch Section here. Pick up with your bagel order, or we can ship [additional shipping charge for tees/hoodies] ✅

What is Lox Love?

In addition to your food, you can also add a little Lox Love to your online order. Lox Love is our awesome Giving Program, set up to support groups/causes doing important work in our community. We pick a local/local chapter of an organization to support each week, we kick in $20 [or so] to start, and then collect from our customers’ orders through Sunday. 25 cents from each Just Right sandwich sold that week also gets donated. Funds are tallied and given the following week, and then we pick a new group! Add Lox Love in any amount to your order. You can make a donation without purchasing anything else, and you don’t need to donate to purchase.

Since we started Lox Love in June 2020, we’ve donated over $30k to wonderful groups and are excited to keep helping out!

What happens if I did not get a confirmation email?

If you did not get a confirmation email after placing an order, it may not have gone through or you may have a typo in the email address. If you get 2 emails, we got your order twice. Ping us at hello@goldiloxbagels.com and we’ll help you out.

What should I do if I see an error or need to make a change to my order?

Online Ordering is still funky - we encourage you to look over your confirmation email to make sure it’s right. If you need something additional, place a second order under the same name/email and we’ll group them [if you do this 2nd order very close to pick up time, please let us know you have multiple orders so we get you everything].

You can also email us with any changes or questions during the week. If you are trying to reach us when we’re open [Fri/Sat/Sun mornings] we will not answer/see your email right away - text us at 617-333-8233 if it’s urgent/about an order for that day.

I did not order ahead, can I still pick up bagels the day-of?

We make extra bagels each day, but we sometimes sell out SUPER FAST. Online: hit our order page early in the day to see what’s available. If you want to walk up and order, we may or may not have bagels - check our Stories for status updates.
We may have to substitute some of your bagels for day-of orders based on availability. Ordering ahead is the only way to ensure you get the exact kinds of bagels you ordered. NOTE: Day-of ordering or walk-ups may have longer wait times.

How do I get in touch with Goldilox?

The best way to get in touch with us is to email us at hello@goldiloxbagels.com. Please email us for big orders [more than 36 bagels]. We will post our inventory updates and other useful information to Instagram and Facebook when we can, but we may not be as responsive to messages there.

Our curbside text number 617 -333-8233 is monitored whenever we are open [Fri 7-11:30 / Sat + Sun 8-11:30]. This # does NOT do voice calls well - texting is best, you can leave a VM but they get garbled often. We may take a while to reply to texts and calls when we’re closed - email is fastest.

Do you deliver or ship your bagels?

Currently, we do not deliver or ship bagels, sorry about that.

Goldilox made a mistake. What can I do?
